Rails Resources

While at RailsConf Jade and I managed to throw together a quick teaser for a new site we’re working on.

We hope that Rails Resources will grow to become a valuable resource for aspiring Rails hackers.

More details to come over the next two weeks.

STOP calling people ‘rails hackers’! It just shows your ignorance. Yes, I understand the original definition of the word, but in today’s day and age ‘hacker’ denotes a lack of discipline, skill and forthought.

Well, unless you would prefer people purposely think that of Rails programmers, then go ahead. Quite the disservice. Frankly, it shows your inexperience.

Frank:

I’m sorry that you feel my choice of words is ignorant… I guess I’m of the mind-set that a “hacker” is a skilled developer who can quickly solve a problem using creative means. Not sure how this shows inexperience, but you’re entitled to your opinion. Hopefully you at least check out the site.

Frank, so you’re saying that when Google and O’Reilly awarded me with the “Best Hacker of 2005” at OSCON ‘05, they were saying that I had an exemplary “lack of discipline, skill, and forethought”? Man, I didn’t even know they were dissing me that hard. And on stage in front of 2000+ people no less. Those bastards.

I like this drama goin’ on up here.

Doesn’t Frank know that DHH stands for “Distinguished Herald of Hacking”… I mean, if that doesn’t say it all.

I tease, I tease.

Anyway, I stopped in to say… 24 hours. the clock is ticking.
