Dear Google: Why do you hate me?
I have been nothing but nice to you, have done everything that you have asked of me, but yet you continue to ignore me…
For the last 6 months I have been hoping that my site will be added to your index, but yet the results are always the same: “Your search - site:joshknowles - did not match any documents”.
I’ve even taken some proactive steps in attempts to engage our friendship. I signed up for your webmaster tools, even submitted a sitemap, yet you continue to mock me by not indexing any of my pages.
My friends over at MSN have no troubles finding me.
Neither due the nice folks at Yahoo.
WHY DO YOU HATE ME!?

P.S. If someone can tell me what I’ve done that has caused Google to shun me please let me know.
P.P.S. Skitch kicks ass. I was able to take all these screen shots, re-size, crop, highlight and upload all in under 5 minutes.

Be patient, you only submitted your site map few days ago, Google will check your site in the next few days ;)
Also make sure that your site map was verified and check when was last time Google bot visited your site: Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Jun 16, 2007. Also check that there was not any errors in your sitemap.

If only it were that simple… Google should index even without a sitemap, I merely added that last week as I had tried everything else. Everything on the sitemap is fine, verified, and visited. For some reason it just isn’t indexing the urls. All of the other sites on this mephisto instance, which were created after mine, are fully indexed which is why I’m frustrated.
Regarding Skitch, I don’t currently have any invites, but when I get some I’ll shoot you over one.

Google been really goofy IMV as of late… …I’ve been tracking how sites I’ve built are indexed recently, and their page rank is varying widely on a daily basis — from a status of where the entire site is indexed and it’s high ranked to barely showing up at all…
And I’ll take a skitch invite if you have one to give! Looks like a promising app…

Try adding a space: “site: joshknowles.com”. The results are usually more relevant.

Google isn’t the only one. Thank you for making the flight to visit you now three times as much, twice as far, and much colder. I appreciate that.
I think I should probably get some free web design out of it? (i’ll do my own google indexing though).
